Remote Management
In this experiential learning module on Remote Management, the learner will take on the role of a new manager for the digital marketing team at Verden. For the past year, Verden has been transitioning its offer away from paper-based publishing and physical products to digital products delivered via a subscription model. As a result, the company has begun to move many of its employees to a remote work environment.
Many new problems have arisen as a result of this transformation. Foregoing in-person meetings, face-to-face conversations, and even simply being able to see their team working has begun to show an impact on the team’s performance. What’s more, departments and teams are more siloed than ever, creating problems with communication, teamwork, and even mental health for some employees. To succeed in their role, learners will need to listen to their team members to not only discern how the new work environment is affecting them, but also help improve the team’s situation.
