Problem Solving - Canada Solar Solutions
In this experiential learning module on Problem Solving, the learner takes on the role of a junior consultant from Lyka Consulting, a distributed firm that specializes in aiding clients with the difficulties of AI-driven digital transformation. Lyka’s newest client is Canada Solar-Solutions (CSS), a large energy company specializing in home solar energy that serves a broad swath across Canada. CSS has recently announced they are acquiring HomeiQ, a company that builds and sells smart homes that will be enabled with solar technology to help optimize energy level adjustments for its customers.
However, since announcing this acquisition, CSS has received substantial pushback from a large section of their customer base who are concerned about cybersecurity. When the program director made some additional public comments on the backlash, it further inflamed issues. The learner is being brought in to help rectify the situation and communicate the benefits of this acquisition for customers.

This module will require the learner to see a complex problem from many sides. Both the problems the learner encounters and their solutions are multifaceted and will require the learner to address both the technical and human challenges inherent to any workplace.
The learning module will take learners 2 to 3 hours to complete.
